A resistive touchscreen is a kind of touch-sensitive display that works when the pressure is applied. When we apply the pressure on resistive screen the outermost metallic layer is pushed into the second layer, it senses that pressure and registers the input.
Two flexible sheets coated with a resistive material are separated by microdots. The resistive touch screen consists of two metallic layers, the first one is known as matrix and the another one is called as analogue. The resistive touch can work with almost any material such as finger, gloves, stylus, pen, pencil or any other object.
